Draymond Green ‘great example’ of fake tough guy, Kenyon Martin says

Kenyon Martin it is not hold back on Draymond Green’s ejection from Golden State Warriors‘ last match against the Phoenix Suns on December 20.

In a heated rematch against the Suns at Chase Center, Green was ejected with 10:39 left in the second quarter. Events began when Green was fouled after shoving Suns guard Colin Gillespie in the back following a block on the other end. Showing frustration with the call, Green left with complaints to the officiating crew.

The judges didn’t waste time, they quickly assessed him with two technical fouls. Green went to the locker room, ending his night after just nine minutes of action, marking his first ejection of the season.

Martin doubled down on his stance Green is a fake tough guy and that he is essentially overrated, with many players better than him. During an interview with Yahoo Sports, he now uses the latest ejection where Green shoved Suns guard Colin Gillespie as another sign that he’s a fake tough guy who chases down smaller players.

“A great example of somebody who doesn’t treat everybody the same. Who’s selective in his approach to who he wants to play with that way. Physicality is part of the game, we know that. But I just think what I said before, I feel my personal opinion, when you’re selective in picking guys that are half your size and knowing that those guys aren’t going to do anything if it’s likely to backfire on you.” that,” Martin said at 4:09.

Draymond Green has earned a reputation as one of the most defensive players in the league. Kenyon Martin, who has had that identity throughout his NBA career, believes Green doesn’t have the same attributes to be at that level.

Green is in his 14th season in the league, all with the Warriors. He continues to stand out with quality defense and playmaking, averaging eight points, six rebounds and 5.2 assists per game.

Golden State has a 14-15 record on the season, holding the eighth spot in the Western Conference standings. They are 0.5 games above the Memphis Grizzlies and 1.5 games above the Portland Trail Blazers while trailing the Phoenix Suns by 1.5 games and the Houston Rockets by 4.5 games.

The Warriors will prepare for the upcoming match, as they are at home. They host the Orlando Magic on December 22nd at 10:00 PM ET.
