Draymond Green takes a shot at LeBron James for the opener

You know when the NBA is back Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green runs his mouth and makes jokes.
Green helped The Warriors beat the Los Angeles Lakers119-109, at Cripto.com Arena on Tuesday in the season opener. The veteran forward recorded eight points, seven rebounds, nine assists, one steal and two blocks in the second all-around game.
Golden State survived Luka Doncic’s explosion of 43 pointswho had to carry a greater burden with LeBron James out for an extended period due to a sciatic injury.
After the game, Green was asked if he would play against the Lakers without James, who missed the season opener for the first time in his storied career. Green had perfect answer.
“LeBron’s old ass was over there in his Phil Jackson chair,” the Warriors star joked, as shown in a video posted by 95.7 The Game on X.
That drew laughs from reporters, but the 35-year-old Green quickly turned serious, admitting that it was “very strange” that he didn’t see the 40-year-old James at the opener.
“It’s always different when he’s not out there. Obviously, we’ve had battles with Luka as well. Luka’s an amazing player, but Bronn is Bronn. (With) the battles we’ve had over the years, you look forward to it,” the four-time champion added.
“So it was really weird not seeing LeBron there. You look over and you see him in street clothes.”

Green and James were fierce rivals during the championship clashes between the Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. But over the years, they became close friends, even vacationing together during the off-season.
Both are also managed by Klutch Sports Group, which has given them more opportunities to socialize.
