Dylan Harper will miss several weeks with a calf injury

San Antonio The Spurs started the season strongand outside of Victor Vembanyama, it was because of the supporting cast surrounding him. Unfortunately, one of those players will be on the sidelines next few weeks due to injury, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

San Antonio Spurs guard Dylan Harper suffered a left calf strain and is expected to miss several weeks, sources told ESPN. Monday’s MRI revealed that Harper avoided a significant absence,” Schefter wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Harper has played well so far to start his rookie season, and the Spurs will miss him, especially with De’Aaron Fox still out. Besides Fox, the Spurs have other players working to get on the court, such as Luke Cornett, Jeremy Sochan, Kelly Olynyk and Lindy Waters III.

This shows that it is The Spurs have depth to start the seasonsince they haven’t been at full health but still finding ways to win.

“Guys have been getting closer and closer, so we’ll have to see how that plays out over the next few days,” head coach Mitch Johnson said after their loss to the Phoenix Suns.

It’s safe to say that Harper has played a big part in the team so far with other players still injured, but he’s also played well in the minutes he’s played. Harper averaged 14.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in six games. As of now, players like Stephon Castle and Devin Vassell will have to continue to play well and may even have to play more minutes with another guard in the rotation.

This will be a true test of their depth, and it will show if they can hang with some of the other teams in the Western Conference while dealing with these injuries.
