ESPN Insider basically calls Mark Cuban a liar

in 2025 Dallas Mavericks started off rough. They are 3-9 to start the year with Anthony Davis injured and Kyrie Irving already out. Cooper Flagg has been solid to start the year, but he is playing point guard, which is not his natural position. as a highlight, The Mavericks fired general manager Nick Harrison after the season started.

ESPN NBA and Dallas Mavericks reporter Tim McMahon reported on what happened between Mark Cuban and the Dallas Mavericks and told Dan Patrick on Thursday’s episode of “The Dan Patrick Show.” When Cuban sold his majority stake in the Mavericks, McMahon said he lied and continued to claim he ran basketball operationsdespite having no impact on the Mavericks roster. Instead, all decisions go through Patrick Dumont, the Mavericks’ new governor.

Tim MacMahon elaborated when he said, “There’s a lot going on. I’ll tell you one thing. Cuban didn’t help himself when he sold a majority stake in the franchise and cashed a multi-billion dollar check and told anyone who would listen that I was still in charge of basketball operations. These guys, it’s just a real estate game that knows what they’re doing. They still don’t. Don’t worry when it wasn’t part of the deal discussion.

McMahon also said Cuban has a history of being a liar, and when he said he was still involved in basketball operations, it opened the door for Nick Harrison to trade Luka Doncic.

“I don’t know if he was trying to talk it into existence or, Cuban, I don’t know how well you know Mark Cuban, but I don’t think he would do very well on a regular polygraph test, McMahon said. “He tends to be a little full of, you know, poop.
