Fans are expressing concern over Elgton Jenkins’ injury against the Eagles

The Green Bay Packers lost a valuable member of the offensive line to injury after center Elgton Jenkins injured his ankle in first half against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lambeau Field on “Monday Night Football.”

Jenkins suffered the injury in the closing minutes of the second quarter. He limped off the field and was taken to the locker room. He was ruled out for the rest of the game.

The Packers and Eagles were scoreless at halftime.

The 29-year-old Jenkins joined a Green Bay roster on the sidelines that included tight end Tucker Kraft and wide receivers Jaden Reed and Matthew Golden. Pass-catcher Romeo Doubs also left the game in the second half.

Fans expressed concern following Jenkins’ departure.

“It’s a tough loss for Green Bay, the defense just got a lot tougher without him.” he said @direumatteul.

“Jordan Love is playing scared tonight, and I don’t blame him. The Eagles’ pass rush is better than they’ve been given credit for, and the offensive line isn’t playing well (again). Now, Elgton Jenkins (goes) to the locker room. It certainly doesn’t help.” he added @PackersCenter.

“Ugh, Jenkins hits like a blindside, the Packers pocket just got swiss cheese. Get well soon, big man!” wrote @web3kendoe.

“Get well soon”, published @rahulm3.

@MatthewGoated0, however, had a take it differently: “The Jenkins injury may be a blessing in disguise. If (Sean) Ryan plays well at center, it would be nice to have Jenkins back at guard, where he is much better.”

The Packers lost to the Eagles 10-7 to fall to 5-3-1.

They will look to bounce back in Week 11 against the New York Giants, who fired coach Brian Daboll on Monday.
