Fans credit the Jonas Brothers for saving Game 2 of the World Series
Last season, the ill-advised decision by the New York Yankees to have Fat Joe performs at the World Series broken morale, paving the way for Los Angeles Dodgers to win the title. This year, the Dodgers could thank the Jonas Brothers if the team repeats as champions.
Fans tuning into Game 2 of the Fall Classic Saturday were surprised to see a concert broke out between innings. After MLB’s Stand Up to Cancer tribute, the camera cut to the stage in right field. The Jonas Brothers were introduced to the unsuspecting public and it became clear that the World Series would be on hold as they sang the song.
The Jonas Brothers – Merv, Stu and Freddie (we’re still checking those names) – did, in fact, do the song. But some viewers were still confused by their presence. The concert before the sixth inning is not traditionally a part of baseball. Even Fat Joe had the sense to embarrass the entire fan base before the game even started.
But some Dodgers fans credit the Jonas Brothers’ performance with saving the team’s season.
Dodgers bounce back with Game 2 World Series win

The Toronto Blue Jays won Game 1 thanks to a historic sixth-inning rally. An uncharacteristically poor pitching performance put Los Angeles in an early 0-1 hole against a dangerous Blue Jays team. Derek Jeter called Game 2 is a must-win for the Dodgers.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto has come to LA with another gem. But Toronto’s ace Kevin Gausman also dealt with. Couple made MLB history as the first starters to retire 17+ consecutive batters in a postseason game.
Yamamoto and Gausman were locked in a 1-1 pitching duel as both teams looked for the lead. And then the Jonas Brothers appeared.
After a strange inning change, it all fell apart for the Blue Jays. Gausman gave up the solo Homers by Will Smith and Max Muncie as the Dodgers took a 3-1 lead. LA then took a 5-1 lead in the eighth inning.
Yamamoto went the distance and the Dodgers took Game 2. With the series moving to Los Angeles for Game 3, the Dodgers have momentum on their side. And the fans are responsible for the happiness of the Jonas Brothers team.

Humongous ChiChis replied:
“I was complaining in my kitchen, pacing around like a maniac during the first half of baseball.”
Dave Albrecht added:
“Well, @MLBONFOX just reminded me why I haven’t watched baseball religiously in a few years. The Jonas Brothers’ mid-game performance derailing a pitcher’s duel in the World Series is actually insane. Get the clue @MLB!”
Bernadette De Jesus commented:
“They literally sang ‘I Can’t Lose’ and the Dodgers took those lyrics to heart!
