Fans go wild after LeBron James introduces Luke Cornett
The The Los Angeles Lakers lost the race San Antonio Spurs during the first half NBA Cup quarter-final clash. Beset by lethargy, the Lakers were down 12, 70-58, going into the halftime interval. But momentum may be swinging back to the side of the purple and gold after LeBron James reminded everyone he still got it by putting Luke Cornette on the poster.
As the Lakers went on a run with just under a minute left in the second quarter, James found himself dropping the ball in halftime. Marcus Smart set up a brush, which James denied, giving him a step toward Devin Vassell. James, who will turn 41 in a little less than three weeks, decided not to just go for the layover. He chose to climb the mountain that was Cornet and threw down a monster one-handed tomahawk, sending the Cripto.com Arena crowd into a frenzy.
Never mind that the Lakers allowed two easy possessions after this game to drop by double digits again. James indicated that he had plenty of gas left in the tank, and not even sciatica or arthritis can stop the disputed GOAT of the sport.

James is clearly feeling the effects of age. He can’t jump as high as he used to, and his athleticism is waning every day. So for the Lakers star to pull off something like that was incredible for the fans.
