Fans have hilarious reactions to the end of a brutal 16-game losing streak

Monday evening was marked by a important opportunity for the Sacramento Kings in 2025-26 in the midst of a terrible campaign that has them at the bottom of the NBA. They entered their matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies having lost all of their previous 16 games, and it didn’t look like an end to their skid was anywhere in sight given how damaged the team was by injuries, especially with Domantas Sabonis and Zach LaVine undergoing season-ending surgeries.

However, miracles do happen, and the Kings, after making it look like they were destined to lose all of their games until the end of the season, finally got back on the winning track — winning 123-114 over the soft Memphis Grizzlies despite being on the road. It gave the Kings just their 13th win of the season in 59 contests, and it took an incredible team effort just to put an end to their misery.

In a season straight out of their worst nightmares, Kings fans are simply resorting to humor to deal with the awfulness of their team – with new signing Killian Hayes making plenty of jokes.

“We’re on a 1-game winning streak and we’re back 😭,” @PlayoffKings hilariously noticed.

“Sacramento Kings win? In this economy?” X user @compSciMatt wrote.

“Killian Hayes turns Sacramento Kings around,” @ihmzotf he added.

“Killian Hayes has won 100% of his games with the Sacramento Kings,” @sosinoidFr further.

“Killian Hayes signed with the Kings and they won their first game after 17 losses. Coincidence? I think it’s a big one 😂✌🏼,” @Pdmvoz pointed out.

Will the king’s ineptitude be rewarded with a call day reward?

The The Kings have the worst record in the NBAbut with the flattened lottery odds the league has used over the past few seasons, that’s far from a guarantee.

Regardless, even if the Kings end up with the first overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, they better not make the mistake of getting in shape instead of selecting the best player available on the board.
