Fans have one thing to say about trading Jonathan Cumminga to the Hawks
Jonathan Cumminga his wish came true later The Golden State Warriors shipped him to the Atlanta Hawks the day before the trade deadline.
The Warriors also traded Buddy Hieldgetting Kristaps Porzingis in turn, as ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Wednesday.
Kuminga demanded a trade from the Warriors after growing unhappy with his own minimal role in coach Steve Kerr’s rotation. Kerr has repeatedly praised Cummings’ potential, but remained wary of giving him more playing time, citing bad habits on the field.
Fans had similar comments following Kuminga’s move to the Hawks, saying he was finally free.

The 23-year-old Kuminga will join Atlanta’s youth movement and will team up with a core of Jaylen Johnson, Nikhil Alexander Walker, Dyson Daniels and Onyeka Okongwu.
The Warriors had high hopes for Cummings when they drafted him seventh overall in 2021. He fell short, however, as Kerr opted to stick with more experienced players.
While the draft is always better in hindsight, it’s worth noting that Golden State selected Kuminga over Johnson, Franz Wagner, Alperen Sengun and Trey Murphy III.
