Fans in shock over Damian Lillard’s participation in the 3-point contest
The NBA shocked the world when it announced the participants of the 3-point contest for All-Star weekend. Once you take a look at the names, you’ll understand Damian Lillard is one of the contendersdespite being out this season due to injury. Lillard seems to do it for the love of the game, or in this case, for the love of making threes.
Many have already shared their thoughts on Lillard joining the competition, and are surprised, while others are giving him props for competing while still recovering from injury.

Lillard has participated in five 3-point contests, and this will be his sixth. He won back-to-back titles in 2023 and 2024, and this time he will try to win his third. Throughout his career, Lillard was known as one of the best three-point shooters in the league and one of the best from more than 30 feet.
It will be interesting to see how Lillard does during the competition, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the other contenders step up their game to keep him from winning a third title. It would also be a huge story if Lillard wins without playing at all this season due to injury.
