Fans react to Raheem Morris’ gesture to Arthur Blank

The Atlanta Falcons were eliminated from the playoffs at the beginning of December. Surprisingly, they then went on a run, finishing the season on a four-game winning streak and finding themselves in a three-way tie for the division lead. The only thing was that it was late, and they didn’t make the playoffs once again. Some thought it would be like that though enough for Raheem Morris to keep his jobbut it wasn’t. He was fired along with general manager Terry Fontenot.

Many even thought so after Morris hugged Arthur Blank after their win against new orleans things will be going well for the head coach. Things were not going well.

After he got fired, the fans watched the video again and had a lot to say.

“I’m crying bro, he did this with a no-nonsense face and fired him before the 18th week was over,” wrote one user on X, formerly Twitter.

“It was a goodbye hug,” a another user wrote.

“It turned out to be his goodbye hug,” a wrote a third user.

The next day, Blank ousted Rich McKay as the team’s CEO and appointed Greg Beadles to the position. It’s clear that things will be different around the organization as they try to turn their bad luck around. The Falcons also plan to hire a new president of football, and many expect it to be former quarterback Matt Ryan, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Last week it was rumored that Blank was interested in bringing Ryan back in the lead role, and it looks like whatever role he ends up in, he’ll be working with the future general manager and others to help make roster decisions. It’s a new look for the Falcons, and it’s something that probably needs to happen if they want to see some changes.
