February 27, a date like no other for Stephen Curry
It can be said that Stephen Curry is a lover on February 27. For what? Because on this particular date he is the leader Golden State achieved the two best performances in his career.
First on February 27, 2013 with his old scoring record against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, then on February 27, 2016 with a new scoring record and the “game winner” in overtime against the Thunder.
In 2013, the Knicks hosted Warriors. Coached by Mark Jackson, the latter haven’t experienced the playoffs since their crazy 2007 epic.
Extended at the start of the season for 48 million over four years, Stephen Curry is still far from being a superstar, and he’s not even an All-Star yet. But he will lay the first stones of his legend this February evening.
In the Mecca of basketball, they will sow… 54 points, with an incredible 11/13 on 3-pointers. Everything was accompanied by 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 interceptions, even though he was in the “back” position! In contrast, New York will try everything to slow him down, but the “Baby-Faced Killer” is untouchable. Today we are used to its heatstrokes, but back then no one imagined that it could catch fire in this way…
The problem is that Stephen Curry’s teammates are not having a great night and Tyson Chandler is the one who will save the Knicks, also with one of his best games of his career: 16 points and… 28 rebounds!

Victory of the midfielder!
Three years later, Stephen Curry made a new legendary match on February 27th. Facing the thunder of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in the middle of this historic regular season for Golden State, punctuated with 73 wins on the clock to erase Michael Jordan’s Bulls record…
In permanent condition throughout this 2015/16 campaign, “Chef” is more familiar than ever with the stars during this game. Still, under the control of the Westbrook/Durant duo, the Warriors rely on their number one fireman, with the help of Klay Thompson, to counter Oklahoma City.
But Stephen Curry (46 points) will make the difference, going 12/16 from behind the arc (his record at the time) and shooting, each one crazier and more determined than the other. This last shot in overtime, three meters behind the 3-point line, 0.6 seconds from the buzzer, is a testament to that!
