Former NBA star blames Megan T. Stallion for Klay Thompson’s on-court woes
It’s not uncommon for a professional athlete’s girlfriend to be blamed for distracting the player and resulting in poor play. Now, the former NBA star puts Megan Thee Stallion in the hot seat and blaming her for Klay Thompsontrouble on the field.
“I’m from West Virginia, man, I’ve been taught a lot by the old folks, the old white folks,” Jason Williams said on the Hoopin’ N Hollering podcast. “It only takes one dick to pull a battleship across the desert. It’s that powerful.”
“Klay Thompson, I’m not saying it is,” Williams added, “but it could be what it is.

Williams theory follows Dallas Mavericks announcement that Thompson will be benched. So far this season, the four-time NBA champion’s numbers haven’t been up to his standard as he’s averaging just 7.4 points per game and shooting 26.7% from three.
The conversation has been hotly debated on social media and while Williams and some other NBA fans have their own opinions, there are still fans coming to her defense.
“So let me understand Klay Thompson who has not been known for a great shooting average for some time, because he’s not playing well THIS season, it’s somehow Megan’s fault. Keep in mind he averaged 14 points last season…” wrote one X fan who defended Meghan’s relationship with the Mavs star.
“Anyone who blames Meghan for Clyo’s.” bad game apparently he just started following the NBA. Klay is in Dallas for a reason – if he played well, Meghan would be rooting for him in the Bay…” another fan said in Meghan’s defense regarding Thompson, who was traded from the Warriors to the Mavs last year.
Megan and Thompson had a rough start to their relationship over the summer and let fans in on their romantic date nights as well as supporting each other amid their busy schedules.
The Mavs’ next game is against the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, November 13.
