Four games in five days, a tough schedule for the Heat and Bulls
The past week was marked by a rather rare event, i.e postponement of the game in between Chicago etc Miami. The floor of the United Center became impassable because it was too slippery, due to a particularly hot and rainy day in the Windy City, and even though the Blackhawks, the city’s hockey team, had played a game in the hall the previous day. The ice under the floor, together with the hot air in the room, led to moisture, and therefore condensation in the field of Bulls.
The NBA knew the headache it would present to fit this match into an already rushed schedule. The only compromise the league has found will limit the two teams to play three matches in three evenings. In total, the two teams will have to play four matches in five days!
The calendar matchup will also mean that Miami and Chicago will meet three times in a row, with Thursday’s game postponed to January 29. The next two days, the two teams will face each other in Miami, and the two games originally scheduled for January 30 and February 1 at the Casey Center have been postponed to February 1.
The schedule will therefore be tight, as the Bulls are scheduled to travel to Indiana on January 28th and the Heat will host Orlando at the same time. In the hope that the risk of injury, avoided by postponing the match, will not increase tenfold in two weeks with this series of matches that will not be missed at the expense of the organization…
