Four in a row in the heat in Philly

The owner of the most prolific offense in the NBA, Heat true to himself at the start of the match. Looking to push the tempo as soon as possible, with Davion Mitchell leading the way and Norman Powell at the end, while Kel’el Ware puts constant pressure on the offensive rebound. Tirese McKay tries to start Sixersbut the latter showed clumsiness with the ball and shooting without being able to keep up with the Floridians on defense (37-27).

Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kel’el Ware play defense easily Philadelphiamore Miami then he suffered Andre Drummond’s law under the panels. Unsustainable, he accumulates second chances and baskets, as Paul George, Trendon Watford and Quentin Grimes start, and it makes … 16-0 in three minutes, to tie (49-49). Fired up, Norman Powell then restarted the Florida machine, only to keep his team in control at halftime (71-67).

Skill falls somewhat on both sides, not stopping Norman Powell from remaining the Heat’s strong man, while Bam Adebayo is finally waking up in goal. 14-4 gives the South Beach gang a comfortable lead, before the Sixers respond with a 12-1 run, with Tyrese Maxey and Trendon Watford continuing to provide positive sequences on each end. As both teams defend more in the zone, threes are more frequent and uncertainty remains (99-93).

Just like they did early in the game, Miami was able to regain a ten-point lead, with contributions from Kel’el Ware in the paint and Jaime Jaquez Jr. off the bench improving the entire team, before Bam Adebayo put it back at the rim. Except this time, Philadelphia won’t be able to get back to one possession and offer tight “time on the money.” The efforts of Tyrese Maxey and Trendon Watford remain in vain and the Xfinity Mobile Arena will not celebrate the success (127-117).

In addition to the new big match a Norman Powell (32 points) headed to the All-Star Game, the Heat could count on great performances Jaime Jaquez Jr. (22 points, 7 assists), Kel’el Ware (20 points, 16 rebounds), Bam Adebayo (18 points, 13 rebounds) or Davion Mitchell (8 points, 12 assists, 8 rebounds).

When you’re on the Sixers side, Tyrese McKay (27 points, 6 assists), Trendon Watford (19 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists) or Andre Drummond (14 points, 23 rebounds) played their game, without Joel Embiid, VJ Edgecombe, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Adem Bona.

TO BE REMEMBERED

Miami continues to evolve. For the fourth time in a row, the Heat won and once again cemented their status as the most prolific striker in the country. When Norman Powell is so inspired, when Kel’el Ware is so imposing under the circle, when Davion Mitchell rotates the leather so well, when Jaime Yaquez Jr. brings so much off the bench and when Bam Adebayo is so solid with the racket, Erik Spoelstra’s body is extremely difficult to maneuver. Aware that they had to feed off the fast game to excel, the Floridians therefore did not stop setting a hellish pace, impossible for the Sixers to keep up with.

Philadelphia too short in duration. Despite the numerous absences, the Sixers put up a good fight, relying on the trio of Tyrese Maxey – Trendon Watford – Andre Drummond to compete with the Heat. But chasing the score and bursting at the start of every quarter, or almost, Nick Nourse’s men eventually fired. It was 13-2 that outscored them in the final act, when they still had only one possession (105-103) before going on this fatal “run”.

Tyler Herro returned on Monday ? Out since the restart with an ankle sprain, Tyler Herro is likely to return to the floor for a back-to-back at home against the Mavericks. Elective reinforcement for the Heat, deprived of Andrew Wiggins and Nikola Jovic (of course, not forgetting Terry Rozier…), but which has been a hit and a surprise despite everything since the beginning of this financial year 2025/26.
