Framber Valdez gets $115 million contract

The Detroit Tigers have been mostly quiet this offseason, opting to bring back essentially the same team from 2025. The Tigers have re-signed Kyle Finnegan to strengthen the bench. I they signed Kenley Jansen to add additional depth. Now they have added their rotation with Framber Valdez.
Valdez agreed to a three-year contract with Detroit, as first reported ESPN’s Jeff Passan. The contract is worth a total of $115 million, which works out to just over $38 million per season. Valdez gets the highest total guarantee for a left-handed pitcher and a Latin American pitcher, according to Pasano.
This is a developing story. More to come.
