George Kittle active, Trent Williams, Ricky Pearsall out for Week 18

The The San Francisco 49ers will play against Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, with the winner of the game clinching the NFC West title along with the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. Unfortunately, San Francisco is dealing with a number of injuries and we now have confirmation of the status of George Kittle, Trent Williamsand Ricky Pearsall.
Reports indicate Kittle (ankle) is active for match week 18while Williams (hamstring) and Pearsall (knee/ankle) are out, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelliser. At least the 49ers will have their star on the field to help quarterback Brock Purdy.
“49ers TE George Kittle (ankle) is officially active for tonight’s game against Seattle, while LT Trent Williams (hamstring) and VR Ricky Pearsall (knee/ankle) are out.
Having Kittle available is huge for San Francisco. The 32-year-old tight end should be one of the best passing options in this matchup. The team, however, appeared ready to be without Williams as the 49ers released offensive lineman Brandon Parker from the practice squad on Saturday.
As for Pearsall, this will be his eighth missed game of the season. The 25-year-old player has been dealing with knee and ankle injuries. San Francisco will likely lean on Jauan Jennings in the wide receiver room, while Demarcus Robinson, Kendrick Bourne, Skye Moore and Jordan Watkins will also get extended playing time.
This story is currently under development, and more information will be released soon.
