Georgia Tech’s Haines King gets the 100% real on Brent Key before the Syracuse game

Georgia Tech football they look to go undefeated this season when they play Syracuse on Saturday. Georgia Tech enters the game without an error. The Yellow Jackets are hoping for a big game from their quarterback, Haynes King, to get the win.
King appeared on ESPN’s College GameDay for an interview on Saturday. Desmond Howard asked King what a word would use to describe Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key.
“Real,” King replied.
“It’s hard to describe him in just one word,” King added. “He stays true to who he is. He hasn’t really changed, he’s still himself week in and week out. He’s going to catch fire every now and then, which we all love.”
Key is in his fourth season at Georgia Tech. The selector won seven games, the third year in a row. The Yellow Jackets go for a win no. 8 on the campaign as they play Syracuse on Saturday.
Key played at Georgia Tech and also spent time at the school as an assistant. He was named interim coach in 2022 and then continued after that season. Key has also been an assistant at other schools, including Alabama.
The Yellow Jackets and Syracuse are playing at the time of writing.
Georgia Tech is hoping to make the College Football Playoff
The Yellow Jackets are 7-0 this season and 4-0 in the ACC. Georgia Tech controls its own destiny as it looks to be headed to the College Football Playoff for the first time under Ključ.
The team has to keep winning to get there. While Georgia Tech has a non-conference win over Colorado, the Buffaloes have struggled this year. Georgia Tech’s conference wins include a win over Clemson, but again Clemson isn’t having its best year.
Georgia Tech heads into the Syracuse game with some injuries in the secondary. If the Yellow Jackets can pull off a win, it would keep them in sole possession of first place in the ACC standings.
