Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped an unprecedented truth bomb on the breakout star

The The Milwaukee Bucks were on the struggle bus of late, having lost seven games in a row before finally getting back in the win column Saturday night with a win over the lowly Brooklyn Nets. Giannis Antetokounmpo is back after a short injury layoff, and hopefully Milwaukee can start putting together some wins with their best player back on the floor.

The Bucks’ most surprising (in a good way) player this year has been young guard Ryan Rollins, who has quickly risen to the forefront of the MVP discussion.

After the Nets game, Antetokounmpo had some strong praise for the guard.

“I’ve been in the NBA for 13 years. I’ve had 200-300 teammates. The jump for a guy who two years ago got a two-way contract, non-guaranteed, guaranteed deal, to the player he is today. I don’t think I’ve seen a jump like that in my career,” Former Hope, Michael Scott, Peretopo, Former Hope, said on Twitter.

Rollins has been hopeful for the Bucks this year. Entering the year, many pundits lamented the Bucks’ lack of backcourt depth as the main reason they weren’t taken seriously in the East, and while that still definitely isn’t the team’s strength, Rollins’ elite shooting, combined with his ability to get to the basket seemingly at will, helped bolster that department significantly.

Still, the vibes in Milwaukee in general aren’t great right now, as the team is currently 9-12 and wouldn’t even make the playoffs if the season ended today.

The good news for the Bucks is that their relatively light schedule will continue on Monday night with a road game against the Washington Wizards. That contest will begin at 7:00 PM ET.
