Giannis Antetokounmpo: Milwaukee Bucks star expected to miss up to six weeks with calf problem

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo expects to be sidelined for four to six weeks with a calf injury.

Antetokounmpo played 32 minutes of his team’s 102-100 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday before coming on in the game’s final minute.

“Probably the next steps will be going for an (MRI) tomorrow,” said the 31-year-old, who had 22 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists against the Nuggets.

“After the MRI, they’ll tell me, probably, I’ve popped something in my lower leg, in my soleus, something. They’ll probably give me a protocol of four to six weeks that I’ll be out.”

“This is from my NBA experience.

He added: “After that I will try to come back. It will probably be the end of February, the beginning of March.”
