Grayson Allen will miss Game 1 with a right quad injury
The injury bug continues to bite Phoenix Suns. When is it The Suns lost Grayson Allen for Thursday’s gamethe right quad injury came out of nowhere. The official report is a right quadriceps contusionaccording to AZCentral’s Duane Rankin.
It happened when Allen appeared to bump knees or legs with an Indiana Pacers player. He was quickly taken to the locker room, and it seemed like no one knew he was out of the game.
Granted, the Suns overwhelmed the Pacers, winning by 35 in that game. However, his expertise as a knockdown shooter and someone who knows where to be in the right place at the right time is key.
In the age 29 season, Allen is career average on all sides. From 3-point attempts, assists and percentage, he does it all.
Even with Phoenix losing Jalen Green to a hamstring injury, this is another significant blow, but they may find a way to fight back.
The Suns will be fine without Grayson Allen

Again, it’s not easy to lose a team’s best 3-point shooter. However, Dillon Brooks can step right in and be that guy. He differs from Allen as the latter can move effortlessly without the ball.
Nonetheless, Brooks’ goofiness, heavy hitting and expertise as a defender may make Allen’s absence a little easier to digest.
Still, head coach Jordan Ott knows the team will have to adjust. Fortunately, some extended rest between games can be a real boostconsidering they always had one game, one day of travel, and then another game the next day.
Regardless, Phoenix has a tough task ahead of them with the Atlanta Hawks. They are 3-1 in their last four games, and have shown serious life without superstar point guard Tree Young.
Both teams may be riddled with injuries, but it’s up to the Suns to take Allen’s injury and make the right adjustments.
