Hawks social media slams Jayson Tatum after beating Celtics again

The The Atlanta Hawks continued their dominance over the Boston Celticspulling off another stunning 119-115 overtime defeat of the defending champs on Saturday night in Boston. The Hawks have now beaten the defending champions in four of their last five meetings and appear to have gotten into the Celtics’ head.
After Saturday night’s big win, the Hawks’ social media fired back at the Celtics star Jayson Tatumwhose fans have recently been trying to call him “The Anomaly”. In a post on X, Hawks took a subtle dig on a new nickname.
“2 wins in 2 trips here this season… not an anomaly,” the team wrote.

The Hawks got into Tatum a bit in this game, and the star forward had a bit of a fight with the Hawks in overtime. After Big man Tatum and the Hawks’ Onyeka Okongwu have connected and causes the two teams to come together in a small skirmish. While nothing came of the incident in the way of technical or flagrant fouls, the play seemed to give the Hawks some momentum to eventually push them over the line.
The Hawks had a very good plan to defend Tatum on Saturday night and forced him into a very ineffective scoring night. Tatum finished the game on just 7-for-21 shooting with 23 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. The Hawks also contained the Celtics’ other stars, holding Jaylen Brown to just 24 points on 27 shots and limiting Jrue Holiday to just eight points.
This win will be a huge confidence boost for the Hawks. They are now over .500 at 22-19 and tied for sixth in the Eastern Conference. They have established themselves as a team that no one will want to face in the playoffs after posting impressive wins over some of the best teams in the NBA such as the Cleveland Cavaliers and Celtics.
