Head, Jazz knows how to finish his matches

The Jazz were on a four-game losing streak before moving on to the big main course: back-to-back games against the Pistons and Spurs! However, Lauri Markanen’s teammates highlighted it with two victories. The first against Detroit thanks to decisive blow from Keionte George in the last moments, others against San Antonio after an 11-2 run at the end of the match.
“We were just tired of losing,” underlines Walter Clayton Jr. after the win against San Antonio. “We lost a lot of games that we shouldn’t have lost, so we started to focus more.”
This success against San Antonio was stunning Walter Clayton Jr. While the Jazz took water early in the game, the rookie came out of his box in the second quarter where he scored 11 of his 17 points. The former Florida football player also shines at the start of the last act with an assist for Bruce Sensabaugh and a shot from behind the arc that allowed the Jazz to take a twelve point lead.
“Obviously this is his best professional match. points out Will Hardy about his young player who finished with a perfect 6/6 shot. “He made a lot of big shots and made important defensive plays. His start to the season was complicated, but he stayed fit. He showed tonight that his points are aggressive.”
Sharp team at the end of the match
Despite a good performance by Walter Clayton Jr. early in the fourth quarter, the Spurs came back thanks to a very good one Victor Vembanyama, author of 32 points. However, the Jazz have not let up and this shows a rather surprising element in Salt Lake City’s side this season. While Utah won only twelve games, nine wins it was decided in “clutch time”that is, in matches where five minutes from the end there was a maximum difference of five points. It was like that against the Pistons, but also against the Spurs this Saturday.
“On several occasions this season, we have noticed that in close games the players are not afraid,” congratulates the Jazz coach. “They stick together and do important things. I’m proud of this group. I want the guys and the fans to enjoy this win.”
This Tuesday, the Jazz will play their last game of the year against the Celtics. In case of victory, teammates from Lauri Markkanen then 2025 would end very well with a streak of three consecutive successes.
