How Julius Randle’s All-Star flip made him play MJ against the Blazers

Wednesday night, The Minnesota Timberwolves won their second straight defeating the Portland Trail Blazers the way he hit. This was it epic game by power forward Juli Randlewho scored 41 points in the victory with an efficient shooting night from the field.
The NBA All-Star Reserves were announced recently, and although Anthony Edwards opted to represent Minnesota, Randle did not, and he was also not named among the injury replacements for the various stars who have since pulled out of the competition.
After the game against the Blazers, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch spoke how could it be accounted for Randle’s epic performance.
“The conversation. We’ve had some good conversations over the last week. Everything that revolves around this time of year, whether it’s All-Star nominations — I know he was disappointed he wasn’t named an All-Star. I think he took this game pretty personally in that regard,” Finch said, per Dane Moore on X, previously Twitter.
Some fans might take Finch’s “took it personally” quip as a reference to a viral meme featuring NBA legend Michael Jordan, who seemed to take a lot of things personally, as evidenced by the 2020 ESPN documentary “The Last Dance,” to which he would respond by letting his play on the court do the talking.
The Timberwolves decided to bring Randle back to a big contract extension last summer, and so far the move has paid dividends, as the former New York Knicks forward’s chemistry with Edwards and his fellow Minnesota teammates seemed to increase in their second year together.
The Timberwolves will now be able to kick back and relax for more than a week before the All-Star break before taking the floor next Friday night at home against Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks.
