How Micah Parsons Flipped the “Switch” Against the Cardinals

Micah Parsons is the gift that keeps on giving for Green Bay Packers. Green Bay paid a lot when they traded for Parsonsand it was worth every penny. The superstar edge rusher had one of the best games of his career in a 27-23 win over the Cardinals in Week 7.

Parsons recorded his first three-sack game of his NFL career in Arizona, according to ESPN’s Demovski. He explained it he took his game to another level during the fourth quarter of a close game.

“When it’s time to win the game, something changes,” Parsons said after the game, according to Demovski.

Parsons has never had three sacks in the same game with the Cowboys. He had two and a half sacks on three separate occasions, but never three.

Superstar Edge Rusher made life difficult for Cardinals backup KB Jacoby Brissett. Parsons recorded four tackles for loss and five running backs rushing for their three sacks. He absolutely took over the game in the second half.

Parsons noted that he was surprised by how many one-on-one opportunities he got against Arizona. But he certainly didn’t mind.

“When we get those looks, we have to take advantage of them,” Parsons concluded.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur explains the game-changing decision against the Cardinals

Parsons and Green Bay’s defense put the team in position to win the game. Jordan Love and the offense delivered the game-winning drive in the fourth quarter.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur explained what happened during a key sequence on that drive.

“When our quarterback came out and I could see the look of disdain on his face, I looked at the clock, saw how much time was left,” LaFleur said, according to Sports Illustrated. make it work and that’s exactly what happened.”

LaFleur initially looked to take a field goal with just over two minutes left in the game. But love convinced him to do it on fourth down.

Green Bay converted and scored the game-winning touchdown shortly after.

“We didn’t necessarily get the play we wanted,” LaFleur continued. “But sometimes it doesn’t matter when you have guys that have confidence in what they’re doing, and Tuck did a hell of a job beating the route, he protected our line, and Jordan (Love) gave him a chance, and that’s exactly what he needed.”

Next up for the Packers is a Week 8 matchup against Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers.
