Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault discussed the officials after the fight between Lou Dort and Jeremiah Fears at the end of the Pelicans’ nine-point loss on Tuesday. Alluding to the feud between the Thunder’s Jaylin Williams and Sadiq Bey, Daigneault says that the referees lost control games.

“Two things about it. The first is: I thought they were good guys, a good team, but I thought they lost control of the game in the final minutes. That feud ended up starting way before that with the Bey and J-Will situation. I thought they could have come clean,” Daigneault said. “Then the other thing is: I think it’s a foul for Dort.”

“And if they did, they should blow the whistle on that play regardless of the score or time, because if they do, everybody stops playing, and you can handle the situation as you would otherwise. But since they didn’t blow the whistle, it’s game over. There’s nothing you can do about it, and you’re going to end up with that situation.”

The Pelicans will host the Grizzlies on Friday.
