How SGA took Lou Dort’s breath away with an off the board pass for himself
OKLAHOMA CITY — As someone who spent his entire career playing together Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Lou Dort he admits that the pass off the boards for an assist was his first. From one Gilgeous-Alexander shows a stopping finish in the first half on his absurd corner-3 assist to Branden Karlsson, Shai once again stole the show.
After the win, Dort discussed Gilgeous-Alexander standout assist in the fourth quarterwhich helped close out a 119-103 win against the Grizzlies.
“That was the first time I’ve ever seen him do that. I was actually shocked,” Dort said. “I wasn’t expecting it. I was wondering what was going to happen next because I knew he wasn’t going to go and dunk. But it was a great pass and BC (Branden Carlson) made a big shot.”

Gilgeous-Alexander led six Thunder players in double figures with 31 points, including Jalen Williams (24 points) and Ajay Mitchell, whose 16 points and nine rebounds led the way off the bench. Gilgeus-Alexander also finished with eight assists, four steals and one block. Lou Dort added 13 points, four rebounds and three steals for the Thunder.
While SGA extended its 20+ point streak to 100, the defending champion Thunder improved to a league-best 26-3.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander earned “relentless” praise after Thunder win

After Monday’s 119-113 win against the Grizzlies, head coach Mark Daigno didn’t hold back in his praise for Thunder All Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who extended his streak of 20+ points to 100 straight games. Daigneault thanked Gilgeous-Alexander for his meticulous approachreminding journalists that the current MVP streak is a testament to a very consistent approach.
“Commitment to the game, to his craft, to the team — he’s always a character in those things,” Daigneault said. “He’s relentlessly consistent in the invisible areas that I see that you guys don’t, and there’s probably 100 more that I don’t see that he’s taken care of. But it’s no accident that he’s the player that he is. He’s literally carved himself into this player.”
Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder will face the Spurs on Tuesday.
