In an absolutely insane final, the Suns take down the Wolves

Trailing 113-105 with 69 seconds left, 27 turnovers and an unrecognizable Devin Booker (4 of 18 shooting, 9 turnovers, ejected in the 4th quarter), Suns still signed one of the craziest comebacks of the season and won 114-113 against Wolves.
Stars of the evening? Subs Jordan Goodwin and Colin Gillespie almost turned the match around. While Minnesota seemed to be holding on for victory, Phoenix rallied thanks to a layup by Royce O’Neill, before Colin Gillespie made a steal for a three-pointer by Goodwin (113-110).
The Suns then stole two new balls, then Anthony Edwards, who scored 41 points, misses two key shots. Phoenix timeout… and Gillespie crucifies the Wolves with six seconds left with a shot that Booker wouldn’t deny. Behind, Julia Randle’s final 3-pointer fails.

Anthony Edwards heat stroke
Prior to this “comeback”, Phoenix had a perfect start to their evening. Despite a hot and happy Julius Randle from the start, the Suns responded with intensity. Aggressive defense, interceptions, counter attack: Ryan Dunn and O’Neill punish from afar and after an even start (20-20) Jordan Ott’s men accelerate. Booker and the bench powered through the first quarter with a 12-4 run and a 32-24 lead, with 12 points on the rush to … zero for Minnesota.
The second quarter confirms the trend. Booker is resting, but the bench is back on track: Ighodaro is everywhere on defense, Gillespie and O’Neal are taking advantage of Wolves’ mistakes, and the deficit is up to +17 (47-30). But the return of the starters breaks the rhythm: Booker increases the number of turnovers, Edwards fires, and even if Mark Williams finishes better, the Phoenix leads only 62-49 at halftime.
Devin Booker in trouble
The third quarter turned into a nightmare for the Suns. Minnesota goes 20-6 to take control (69-68), carried by the unstoppable Anthony Edwards: steps back, drives, everything goes. At the end of the quarter, he already had 35 points. Booker sinks under stray balls, and only Goodwin keeps Phoenix afloat: 82-81 for the Wolves.
The final quarter began as the third ended: Edwards, then Rudy Gobert on a pick-and-roll, exploding the Suns’ defense. The gap widens to +9 (97-88) after Booker’s… ninth turnover. But in the chaos, Phoenix refuses to give up: O’Neil on 3 points, then Booker on the layoff, bring the Suns to -1 (100-99).
That’s when the match completely went off the rails: technical on Booker, sixth foul, DiVincenzo’s clutch… and Minnesota took the lead by five steps (107-102). What’s next? Crazy comeback…
WHAT TO REMEMBER
Devin Booker will have to change! He went out with six fouls, Devin Booker had a nightmare with this 4 of 18 shots and 9 turnovers. The Suns point guard is number 1 in the NBA in turnovers with 4.1 per game! His teammates aren’t doing much better as the Suns lost 27 balls last night!
Anthony Edwards falters. Author of an outstanding 3rd quarter, Edwards had the game-winning free throws with 12 seconds left, but the All-Star guard went 0-for-2 at the worst possible time!
Wolves can’t beat the best teams. Zero wins for six losses. This is Wolves’ record this season against teams with a positive record. Rudy Gobert and his team have no problem dominating the Wizards, Jazz or Hornets, but they have yet to beat a team with a 50% or better record.
