In Minnesota, Pablo Prigioni’s mixtape changed everything

You can never get too excited with Wolves, but the smiles on this night brought balm to the hearts of the players and their supporters. The day after the loss to the Clippers, and after a week of criticism of all kinds, great success against the Hawks is almost unexpected. Especially in an alert game way, with a lot of passing and very little isolation.
“A lot of movement gives great shots, with cuts without the ball. I thought Julius and Ant were excellent in this area, leading the way in making quick decisions.” analyzes Chris Finch. “All credit goes to Pablo. He made a great educational video about what we should be. And the players were executed.”
Pablo is Pablo Prigioni. The assistant therefore prepared a montage of offensive sequences from Wolves where players share the ball, moving, running… “I’m going to ask Pablo to play this mixtape before every match.” ironically Rudy Gobertbefore it gets more serious. “Pablo is a winner. He has played on winning teams throughout his career. He understands the game, the importance of sharing the ball, moving and how to make others better. Behind the scenes, we feel he has that little edge, this competitive side. I love having people like that around us, in our group, in our family. He brings a lot.
We haven’t seen Wolves play so freely and selflessly for a long time, and the Frenchman reminds us that his team has all the cards to achieve their goals.
“There are ups and downs in the season, but we always believe that we can achieve what we are here for. We believe that we have everything we need in this dressing room.” continues Gobert. “When you lose a few games, people look for reasons, point fingers. But we are the reason. We control our destiny with our approach, state of mind, energy and confidence, from the players to the coach. Sometimes, when everything seems to be falling apart, it’s important to remember that we still have a lot of talent and can achieve our goals.”
