Indiana gets a boost against the Nuggets with Andre Nembhardt returning from injury

For first time since openingwhen he logged 16:52 minutes in a double overtime loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Andrew Nembhardt making his triumphant return for Indiana Pacers on Saturday against the Denver Nuggets, according to Dustin Dopirak of the Indianapolis Star.
Originally dealing with a shoulder injury that kept him out for the last seven games, Nembhardt is expected to see playing time against a Nuggets team with a very impressive run of offseason moves. At 6-2, including three straight wins over the Sacramento Kings, Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors, the Nuggets look to continue their hot streak at home against the Pacers with just one win in eight tries thanks to a surprise repeat the Dubs 114-109.
With Nembhard out, the Pacers have turned heavily to Ben Shepard and Quenton Jackson to fill the backcourt spot next to Aaron Nesmith. Assuming he’s healthy and can play to his standards in 2024-25, averaging 10 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 28.9 minutes of action per game, it’s safe to assume Nembhardt will be a fixture in the starting lineup going forward as he tries to recapture Indiana’s comeback feel to some fans. as their de facto point guard.
Will it work? Can the Pacers surprise fans this season without Tyrese Haliburton? Probably not, but then again, who really expected them to represent the East in the NBA Finals last year? Stranger things have happened.
