Insider highlights 3 unreasonable suitors for Matt LaFleur if the Packers fire him

On Saturday night, Green Bay Packers Season 2025 came to an end with crushing loss to division rival Chicago Bears in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs. The Packers led this game 21-3 at halftime, but virtually nothing went Green Bay’s way in the second half, and the team ended up falling 31-27.

The game once again caused frustration among the fans according to the head coach Matt LaFleurwho has made many big strides during his tenure as the Packers’ coach, prompting speculation about whether the team could be moving in a different direction as head coach this offseason.

If that happens, NFL insider Jordan Schultz has floated some potential destinations for LaFleur’s next stop.

“Falcons: New president Matt Ryan. LaFleur was Ryan’s QB coach during his MVP season,” Schultz reported on X, formerly Twitter. “Dolphins: New GM John-Eric Sullivan just came from Green Bay after 20+ years with the organization. Titans: LaFleur was previously OC there before becoming Packers HC, and team president Chad Brinker also came from Green Bay.”

Indeed, LaFleur has ties to the Falcons organization, having coached there during their run to the Super Bowl during the 2016 season. Atlanta recently hired franchise legend Matt Ryan in a key role and has plenty of talent on the offensive side of the ball, including running back Drake London and running back Bian Robinson.

Meanwhile, as Schultz noted, LaFleur also has plenty of ties to the Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans.

Schultz also pointed out that “that doesn’t even mention other teams without direct ties who would probably be interested as well.”

Either way, it remains to be seen if the Packers will actually move on from LaFleur this offseason. However, if they do, he probably won’t have much of a problem with the new gig.
