Anthony Davis injury status against Rockets

Well, it looks like Davis has green light to match and play against the Rockets. The former Kentucky Wildcats big man is not on the NBA’s official injury report for Saturday night’s games, so expect him to be on the court.

It also means Davis has a chance to bounce back from an anemic performance in the Mavericks’ loss to Oklahoma City, where he went 1-for-9 from the field and finished minus-18 while grabbing eight rebounds, dishing out six assists and recording a block in 24 minutes.

The high-profile nature of the Thunder’s game allowed Davis to get extra rest on the bench just before the Rockets, who lost to Dallas at the Toyota Center on Nov. 3, 110-102.

Davis was still sidelined with a calf problem – which has caused him to miss 14 straight games – when the Mavericks beat Houston. Now that he’s back, Dallas will have their top big man patrolling the paint, protecting the rim and being a force on the offensive end.
