Is Anthony Edwards playing tonight? Timberwolves vs. Knicks injury report

Minnesota The Timberwolves will take on the New York Knicksand one of their key players is still on the injury report. Anthony Edwards did not play in more than a week, as he was dealing with a right hamstring strain. The Timberwolves have still been able to stay afloat without him, but there’s no question he takes them to another level when he’s on the court.

Hamstring injuries are always tricky because you don’t want to rush them, as they can take a while to heal. Edwards has been seen at practice in recent days getting stronger, which means he’s on the right track return sooner rather than later.

Anthony Edwards injury status vs. Knicks

Edwards is listed as questionable against the Knicks, as his status has recently been upgraded. That definitely means that Edwards is moving forward, and there’s a chance he could come back and face his former teammate, Karl-Anthony Towns. At the same time, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he missed this game and returned later in the week, just so the Timberwolves would give him more of a chance to rest.

Just a few days ago, Edwards was cleared for contact basketball activities while still going through his return-to-play program.

Throughout his career, Edwards has been able to stay relatively healthy, which bodes well for the Timberwolves and their success. Fortunately, when he’s out, they can still find ways to win because they have players like Julius Randle, Naz Reed, Donte DiVincenzo and others to share the scoring. That was a big reason why they made the Western Conference finals the last two seasons, and they want to overcome the problem at some point. With a full conference, it’s always going to be tough, but Edwards showed he’s not backing down from anyone.
