Is Brandon Miller of the Hornets playing against the Bulls? Latest injury update

Over the past few years, Charlotte Hornets they pushed their way through bad management decisionsbad game and bad health. The 2024-25 NBA season was supposed to mark a noticeable shift in the franchise. Making the playoffs was never a likely goal, but first-year coach Charles Lee imbued the Spectrum Center with something that hadn’t existed in a long time — hope. Hornets’ young corewhich includes wing prospect Brandon Millerit is entrusted to feed that strange feeling.

Unfortunately, however, the same problems continue to plague the team. Injuries are disrupting momentum and preventing Charlotte from overcoming its basketball limitations — league-worst field goal percentage, 29th in points per game and 25th in 3-point shooting percentage. More than anything right now, fans want to see the Hornets close or at full strength. But Miller’s injury status could kill that desire.

The second selection in the 2023 NBA draft was listed on the injury report ahead of Friday’s road game against the Chicago Bulls. Charlotte’s opponent has its own issues, so there’s a legitimate possibility the team can win back-to-back games for the first time in more than two months. However, it will likely take an active Miller to reach that benchmark.

Wins and losses are no longer the central aspect of this basketball season in Charlotte, but building chemistry and confidence is vital for Lee and his team. So the question is, will Brandon Miller be able to fit into the United center?

22 year old is considered questionable for the next game with a sprained right wrist. Uncertainty is the norm in Charlotte, and optimism is rare.

Miller, point guard Lonzo Ball and forward Miles Bridges all missed at least 10 games during the 2024-25 season, and center Mark Williams missed more than 20. It’s hard to set goals when the most valuable players are inactive for significant periods of time. No coach is equipped to deal with such a staggering amount of adversity. Still, Charles Lee must do whatever he can to ignite a spark in his team.

If Miller is cleared for action, the Hornets’ top three offensive talents will share the court together against the Bulls, and that’s something fans don’t take for granted. Additionally, Williams is listed as probable with knee soreness. It also has to be mentioned when talking about the core of this franchise. The third-year has totaled 55 points and 29 rebounds in the last two games, so he’ll ideally get a chance to stay hot.

Hornets-Bulls tip-off at 8:00 PM ET, giving the team some time to make final decisions on Williams and Brandon Miller. The latter is battling an offensive slump after earning first-team all-rookie honors last season. A wrist injury does not predict a quick turnaround.

The former Alabama Crimson Tide star is averaging 21.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game while shooting 40.3 percent. Miller will look to rediscover his rhythm the next time he suits up, which could still be Friday night. ClutchPoints will update you on its status when more information becomes available.
