Is Chet Holmgren playing tonight? Thunder vs. Clippers injury report

It seems so Oklahoma City Thunder star great man Chet Holmgren is headed back to action this Tuesday night as the reigning and defending NBA champions embark on a four-game road trip.

Holmgren has missed the Thunder’s last three games with a back problembut his name is no longer on the NBA’s official injury report, suggesting that it will be available for play against the Los Angeles Clippers at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood this Tuesday.

However, the Thunder don’t seem to be missing the former Gonzaga Bulldog much, considering they’ve gone undefeated so far in the 2025-26 NBA regular season. They beat the Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards and the New Orleans Pelicans without Holmgren with an average difference of 18.6 points.

With Holmgren back, the Thunder will gain more size, length and versatility on both ends of the floor as they face James Harden and the Clippers on the road. Holmgren, the second overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, is averaging 23.0 points, 10.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks while shooting 66.7 percent from the field in four games so far this season.

Also, Aaron Wiggins can be expected to return to the bench. In the last three games, Wiggins scored 13.7 points on 43.2 percent shooting from the field, 3.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists.

Meanwhile, Lou Dort and Ajayi Williams are both listed as questionable for the Clippers.

The Thunder are indeed playing like the defending NBA champions, having passed all the tests thrown their way so far. They opened their campaign with a thrilling 125-124 overtime victory over Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets at home, then undid all of their assignments on the ensuing three-game road trip before Holmgren began to miss action with a back injury.

On the season, Oklahoma City is eighth overall in the league with a 117.3 offensive rating despite missing a key piece in Holmgren for three games. Also, the Thunder are No. 1 with a defensive rating of 104.2, which gives them league-best plus-13.1 net rating.
