Jaylen Johnson’s playing status against the Blazers on Sunday

Given his question mark on injury reportthere is currently some doubt as to whether Jaylen Johnson will be able to perform for the Hawks on Sunday night. Johnson suffered a hip flexor injury during a recent game against the Washington Wizards, left in the first half and did not return, before leaving Atlanta’s next game, also against the Wizards.
Joining Johnson on the injury report is running back Nikhil Alexander-Walker, who is questionable with a sprained left leg and also missed Atlanta’s last game against Washington. Rookie Asa Newell is questionable as he is on assignment in the G League.
The Trail Blazers have yet to release their injury report for the second night of back-to-back games after losing to the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday afternoon.
As mentioned earlier, the Hawks will look to win their fourth straight in this one, although the streak hasn’t come against top competition, with Atlanta sweeping the Wizards and Brooklyn Nets twice in the series.
However, for a team desperate to get back over the .500 mark, the Hawks will take wins any way they can get them.
If Johnson can’t go, expect another big game from Jonathan Cumminga, who has impressed in his first two games in a Hawks uniform so far.
The Hawks and Blazers will tip off at 6:00 PM ET.
