Is Joel Embiid playing today? 76ers vs. Thunder injury report
The Philadelphia 76ers will face the Oklahoma City Thunder, and they could be without one of their stars. Joel Embiid started coming as the season progresses, but the team is still trying to be careful with him and his right knee. He is currently listed on the injury report for a right knee injury, but also has a right ankle sprain that he is dealing with.
Injuries have unfortunately been the name of the game for Embiid the last few seasons, and it would obviously be good to see him on the floor more and more. At this point, it seems like every night there could be uncertainty as to whether or not he plays.

Joel Embiid’s injury status against the Thunder
It’s Embiid listed as out against the Thunder, and that might be a good idea because he has two right leg injuries. In their game against the Brooklyn Nets, Embiid suffered an injury scare where the player hit his knees and had to leave the game. Luckily, it didn’t seem like anything serious, as he played against the Chicago Bulls in the next game.
The 76ers have been up and down this season, and while they have the talent on the team to compete, injuries have hurt them here and there. Embiid not being on the floor all the time hurts them, and if Tyrese McKay doesn’t play, there’s a good chance they won’t win. Maxey has led the 76ers all season, but at this point, it’s hard for him to do it on his own.
If Embiid can continue to find ways to play, and the 76ers allow him to play more despite his right knee management, things could get better for them as a unit.
