Joel Embiid was in and out lineup this season as he continues to battle a knee injury, but seems to be doing well. He recently suffered a new injury that was listed in the report, which is a sprained right ankle.
Embiid is still playing on the ankleand scored 34 points in their last game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The injury doesn’t appear to be that serious, which is a good thing for the Grizzlies.

It’s Embiid listed as probable against the Mavericks, which means he will most likely be on the floor. The 76ers have stayed afloat this season, mostly because of Tirese Makey and his play, but when Embiid is on the floor, good things usually happen.
Injuries were the only thing holding the 76ers back last season, and their top three players barely saw the floor together. This season was a little different, as Maxi, Embiid and Paul George played together multiple times. That’s good news for them injury-wise and for their success the rest of the season.
Embiid should also be able to play more as the season continues, as he was on a strict schedule when the year began. He wouldn’t play a game every other day, but now he could play more often and stay healthy. Maybe that was the best plan for him, and it seems to have worked. Hopefully he can continue his strong play when he takes the floor against the Mavericks.
