Kawhi Leonard’s playing status against the Nets

Given its question mark on the injury reportThere is currently some doubt as to whether Kawhi Leonard will be able to compete on Sunday night against the Nets. Leonard recently missed several games with a knee problem as the Clippers shut down the road, but he returned to the lineup for the team’s Thursday night win over the rival Los Angeles Lakers, playing well in what turned out to be a narrow win.
Leonard is joined on the Clippers’ injury report by Bogdan Bogdanovic, who will be out with a left hamstring injury, and Derrick Jones Jr., who is also out with a sprained knee.
Meanwhile, Noah Clowney is questionable for the Nets, while Cam Thomas will be out with a sprained left ankle.
The Clippers have slowly but surely begun to work their way back into the Western Conference mix in recent weeks, currently sitting at 20-24. If the season ended today, they would be in the play-offs, which just a few weeks ago seemed like an impossible scenario given their lackluster start to the year.
If Leonard can stay relatively healthy from here on out, there’s no reason why the Clippers can’t continue to climb as the second half of the season gets underway.
