The Utah Jazz will face the Denver Nuggets, and many are wondering if Lauri Markkanen will be available. Markkanen missed the previous two games for the Jazz, and he was listed on the injury report with right groin injury management. There is no doubt that they missed him on the floor, because he is the team’s best scorer. Since he has been out, other players have had to step up like Keyonte George and Ace Bailey.
Against the Nuggets, the Jazz will need Markkanen, especially with Nikola Jokic on the other side playing some of their best basketball.

Mr. Markkanen listed as suspicious against the Nuggets, and there appears to be a chance he can return to the court.
Despite everything Markkanen does on the court, the Jazz are once again near the bottom of the Western Conference. It seems that they are still figuring things out on the field, and while some i think the jazz will be sellersthey want to do the opposite, says NBA insider Marc Stein.
As hard as it is for opposing teams to read the intentions of a front office that now includes Austin Ainge, as well as Danny Ainge, the more teams we talk to are increasingly convinced that the Jazz are more likely to look to add to their Markkanen-led core this trade season, rather than replace Markkanen,” Stein wrote.
The Jazz haven’t played well since acquiring Markkanen years ago, and they may want to make a big deal somewhere that could change the trajectory instead of giving him up for a bigger asset. It is uncertain how long it will take for them to be competitive again, and no one knows how long.
