The Philadelphia 76ers face the Denver Nuggets to conclude a three-game road trip. Joel Embiid has already been ruled out and is one of many Sixers dealing with an injury. Another of the team’s stars could miss the 10:00 PM EST game. Is Paul George playing tonight against the Nuggets? His official status for the game may not be known until closer to game time.

Is Paul George playing tonight against the Nuggets?

It’s George listed as questionable on NBA injury report due to pain in the left groin. The veteran 76ers star has missed the last two games and has been inactive for three of the last seven games. While the team certainly wants (and must) be as competitive as possible in each remaining game, Philly could decide to play it safe and rest him for one more game.

The Sixers are in a tough spot, coming into this game in Denver with a 15-26 record and a six-game losing streak. They need to upgrade their roster if they want to make the playoffs, but they also have to consider the team’s long-term prospects for any trade. George, if he’s healthy enough to play, needs to start playing better, too. With his new contract taking up so much cap space, he has high expectations to live up to.

Guerschon Iabusele (right knee contusion) and Andre Drummond (left finger injury recovery) are also listed as questionable for the 76ers. Embiid (left knee injury treatment), Caleb Martin (right hip sprain), Kyle Lowry (right hip sprain), KJ Martin (left foot stress reaction) and Jared McCain (left knee meniscus surgery) have been ruled out.

For the Nuggets, Jamal Murray (left calf strain) and Peyton Watson (head contusion) are listed as probable, while Vlatko Cancar (left knee rehab) and DaRon Holmes II (right Achilles tendon repair) are ruled out.
