The Oklahoma City Thunder they simply power every team that comes their way, and their incredible start to the 2025-26 season. 24-1 will be put to the test in the semi-finals NBA Cup on Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs. It will be an incredible matchup between two of the best young teams in the NBA, and with Victor Wembanyama will return from a calf injuryThe Thunder may be heading into their biggest test of the season so far.
But the Thunder seem to know the weight of this matchup, as they have a key player coming back from injury and want to go all the way and win the NBA Cup crown. Isaiah Hartenstein will be coming back from his own calf injury after missing six games (if his absence from the injury report is any indication), as NBA insider Marc Stein pointed out.
Furthermore, ace defender Cason Wallacewho currently leads the NBA in total steals and steals per game, will be in attendance for that ever-important matchup against the Spurs. Wallace did exit OKC’s quarterfinal win over the Phoenix Suns after suffering a blow to the head, but it’s a good sign for the defending champion Thunder that they will bring their strongest team against the Spurs.
The Thunder bring a healthy lineup to the NBA Cup semifinals against the Spurs

Isaiah Joe will not be present for the Thunder on Saturday against the Spurs, but for the first time this season, they will bring their strongest starting five to the court. Jaylen Williams delayed the start of the season after undergoing wrist surgery, while Hartenstein recently suffered a calf strain. Meanwhile, Alex Caruso and Lugenz Dort routinely missed time after taking shots here and there.
This Spurs team is not to be taken lightly, but the Thunder have no reason to fear any team.
