Isaiah Hartenstein will miss time due to injury information

It’s been smooth sailing for most of the 2025-26 NBA regular season, so far, for Oklahoma City Thunder. However, the reigning NBA champions were recently hit by injury newswith a great man Isaiah Hartenstein expected to miss more games with a lower-body injury, as Oklahoma City announced it would be reassessed in 10 to 14 days due to deformation of the right soleus.
The 27-year-old Hartenstein last saw action in the Thunder’s 113-105 home win over the Minnesota Timberwolves last Thursday before suffering scratches for Friday’s meeting with the Phoenix Suns.
Hartenstein has been the Thunder’s regular starting center this season, but someone else will temporarily fill that spot on the team’s first-five unit. Oklahoma City went small with its starting lineup against Phoenix, with four guards to go along with Chet Holmgren at the five.
Hartenstein is in his second season with the Thunder after playing for the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks. Oklahoma City has apparently now made home for the center, who signed a three-year, $87 million deal with the Thunder in 2024, including a $28.5 million club option for the 2026-27 campaign.
Hartenstein’s absence should open up more minutes for Jaylin Williams and Kenrick Williams, while Holmgren will have more responsibility in the frontcourt. Hartenstein is the Thunder’s leading rebounder this season and provides high efficiency amid little usage on offense for the Thunder, who are getting 12.2 points on 67.1 percent shooting from the floor, 10.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game from him.
As a team, the Thunder have a record of 19-1 with a chance to win their 20th of the season as early as this Sunday night on the road against the Portland Trail Blazers at the Moda Center in Portland.
