Ivica Zubac says a hearty goodbye to Los Angeles
With The Indiana Pacers trade for Los Angeles Clippers center Ivica Zubac at the NBA trade deadlinemarks the end of the great man’s productive work on the West Coast. As it is The Clippers traded Zubac, The 28-year-old would say goodbye to the team and fan base on social media.
Zubac would take to social media after the deal was made official, in which Los Angeles received Benedict Maturin, Isaiah Jackson, a protected 2026 first-round pick, an unprotected 2029 first-round pick and a future second-round pick. Having been with the Clippers since the 2018-19 season, he took to Instagram to express how “This is one of the most difficult moments of my life.”
“Exactly 7 years ago, this team gave me a chance, and I never imagined it would turn out like this,” wrote Zubac. “They allowed me to grow as a player and a person. I just want to say thank you. Especially to the fans. From the moment I put on this jersey, you showed me love and support, through good nights and bad nights, you never turned your back on me. That meant everything, and that’s why I was so proud to represent this jersey.”

“I loved being a part of the Clippers family,” Zubac wrote. “Steve and (the) front office thank you guys for trusting me and giving me a chance, year after year. I leave with nothing but love, gratitude and respect for this organization and all of you. Top to bottom. I’ll never forget these 7 years and (the) love I’ve had here. Always love.”
Either way, Zubac wants to bring that same production to Indiana as Los Angeles looks to improve for the future.
