Jackson Hayes and Carter Bryant will compete in the dunk contest
Casting for the 2026 Slam Dunk Contest is starting to take shape. According to ESPN’s Shams CharaniaLakers pivot Jackson Hayes and the Spurs rookie Carter Bryant have agreed to participate in the All-Star Weekend slam dunk contest. The event will take place in Los Angeles, at the brand new Intuit Dome, as part of All-Star Weekend, which is scheduled for February 13-15, 2026. As is tradition, the slam dunk contest will be held on Saturday.
On paper, the NBA already offers two very different but capable profiles. Ultra-athletic interior Jaxon Hayes spends time above the rim, with his game elevated. Carter Bryant arrives with the label of spectacular rookie: In San Antonio, his flights are already inciting highlights.
Now it remains to know the other two participants, even if there should not be any very loud names.
The dunk contest has really become a thing for young players or “role players”, Jailen Brown not having he is not quite able to show if the All-Stars were interested in participating…
