Jalen Brunson gets a shout-out in his inaugural address

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani hosted his inauguration at City Hall, as a new era will usher in who will serve the city for the foreseeable future. Mamdani said a lot of things that might have appealed to the townspeople, and he had a few bars that he caught the attention of New York Knicks fans.
During his speech, he gave an exclamation yes Jalen Brunsonand even celebrated his triples, where he put his hand over his face.
“From those who walk on our Broadway stages and from our starting quarterback at Madison Square Garden. Let’s demand the same from those who work in government,” Mamdani said.
It’s no surprise that Brunson is getting shoutouts from the city’s taller crowd, especially since he’s brought life to Madison Square Garden over the past few years. When Brunson hits the floor, expect a lot of clutch buckets and a lot of points. That’s a big reason why the Knicks are in second place in the Eastern Conference.
Not only is it appreciated by the fans, but it is for him. After a win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day, where they came back in the fourth quarter to win, Brunson said the fans were a huge honor why they were able to pull off a win.
“Just our fan base, our fans are electric, and yeah, it’s been crazy, and I think Christmas has something to do with it,” Brunson said. “The way our bench really got us back into the game and they fired up the crowd as well.
It’s no wonder New York loves Brunson, and it’s for things like that. Moving on, don’t be shocked if he’s mentioned in anyone else’s speech.
