James Pierce Jr. Arrested for Aggravated Assault

Atlanta Falcons outside linebacker James Pierce Jr. was arrested on Saturday in Florida on two counts of aggravated murder with a deadly weapon and one count each of aggravated stalking and fleeing or eluding police with lights or siren, via VPLG Local 10 News.
The Doral Police Department responded to the scene for a reported altercation between a man and a woman. Pierce is said to have fled the scene and crashed his vehicle as authorities pursued him. He was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, and no bond has been set at this time.
26th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, when The Falcons traded to pickshe is known to be dating Los Angeles Sparks forward Ricke Jackson. VPLG Local 10 says the police chief has confirmed that Jackson is the woman in the alleged dispute.
Pierce just finished in third place for Defensive Rookie of the Year Awardbehind winner Carson Schwessinger and runner-up Nick Emanvory. In 17 games, he recorded 10.5 sacks, 17 solo tackles, 10 tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Before his arrest, Atlanta viewed him as a key piece for the new Kevin Stefanski era.
The team issued a statement following the news. “We are aware of the incident with James Pierce Jr. in Miami,” a Falcons spokesman said, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. “We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment on the pending legal matter at this time.”
