Jaren Jackson Jr. still believes Memphis has ‘everything we need’
The Memphis Grizzlies they are currently in low acidity; they have lost three straight games and Ja Morant is terribly unhappy with how things are going for his team. Morant, cimposing a one-game suspension after infuriating his coaches following their loss to the Los Angeles Lakers last Friday, he openly stated that he feels no joy with the team at this time — suggesting that he could soon be opting out of the team in the near future.
Morant’s poor play doesn’t help. He went 3-14 for eight points against the Lakers on Friday, and in his return from suspension in a 114-106 loss to the Detroit Pistons, he shot just 5-16 from the field and finished with 18 points. This isn’t the kind of performance the Grizzlies need from their talisman, and with a 3-5 record in the West and some morale issues plaguing the team, maybe Memphis is reaching a point where they believe Morant isn’t worth all the headaches.
Still, the Grizzlies star Jaren Jackson Jr., who signed a huge contract with the team last offseason, remains a true believer team.
“(We just need) a lot more of the right stuff. A lot more of those good deeds. A lot more of the right stuff. It’s going to take everybody’s participation, but we’re totally capable. We’ve got all the tools and the pieces. We’ve got everything we need to be successful, so it’s not something I’m too worried about. (But) it should have been there, Jack said their latest report is urgent” defeat, via Grind City Media on X (formerly Twitter).

A buy-in from everyone is exactly what the Grizzlies need. But will Morant be convinced to buy or is the situation irreparable?
Is it time for the Grizzlies to trade Ja Morant?

This early in the season, the Grizzlies should be inclined to do it with Morant however they can. But Memphis has plenty of depth at the guard positions anyway. Once Ty Jerome and Scottie Pippen Jr. return from injuries, Morant could become an expendable piece.
Alas, it is not entirely clear which team in the NBA would take a chance on Morant considering his injury problems, off-field woes and declining play. This is something the Grizzlies may have to do even if they get to the point where they no longer want to.
