Jaylen Brown and the Celtics make short work of the Bucks

It didn’t take much to titillate Celtics : led 12-0 from the start Bucks Ryan Rollins, Kyle Kuzma and Bobby Portis, in unison, the home team used this failed start to quickly turn the situation around and thus trace the contours of a one-sided match.
Excited and carried by their crowd, Joe Mazzula’s players could first count on the hot shooting of Anferna Simmons, the author of 11 points in the first quarter, to tie the game at 26, all with a three-pointer at the buzzer (her third basket in a row!).
As a result, Boston he quickly took off with, this time, a sharp 14-2 before heading back to the locker room. The “run” fueled by the pair of Jordan Walsh/Neemias Cueta, Sam Hauser with 3 points and the pair of Derrick White/Jailen Brown to seal the deal (56-42).
Milwaukee failed to recover on reboot. On the contrary: Jaylen Brown was responsible for scoring with 10 points in less than three minutes to make it 68-47, without forcing too much.
The end of the night was long for the Bucks and it was confirmed. The deficit continued to grow in the final act, expanding to +26 on Derrick White’s 3-pointer and even +31 thanks to two additional game-winning baskets by Anfernee Simmons.
The last pass was steep, while Jaylen Brown also kept the pressure on until his exit, leading his team to a clean and flawless victory (107-79).
WHAT TO REMEMBER
Boston celebrates the first day of Black History Month. The meeting allowed the Celtics to honor the NBA’s African-American pioneers with the first Pioneers Classic, which celebrates the first day of Black History Month. Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, the first black player to sign an NBA contract, Chuck Cooper, the first black player to be drafted into the NBA, and Earl Lloyd, the first black player to play in an NBA game, were honored. To mark this occasion, both teams wore special markings on their jerseys and warm-up shirts.
Anferna Simmons sounds revolted. The evening could have been more complicated if Boston had let Milwaukee run away a little more at the start of the match. Fortunately for them, the Celtics could count on the thunderous entrance of their luxury sixth man: he multiplied the great shots, ending the first act with three 3-point baskets to bring the teams back on level terms. Author of 11 of his 27 points, he was essential in allowing the home team to ease the match that started badly. And he didn’t fail to put the icing on the cake at the end of the match.
Jailen Brown and Fashion Diesel. The leader of C had a fever during the match. Author of 8 points on 3/6 at the break, JB then multiplied, signing a second period of a very high level: 22 points on 9/14 shooting! Backlog management is never an easy mission in the NBA, but Boston maintained it perfectly, and Jaylen Brown had a lot to do after returning from the locker room. He was rewarded by winning the first NBA Pioneers Classic Trophy.
