Jaylen Brown demolishes “trash” in Beverly Hills after police shut down panel

Boston Celtics star Jailen Brown is in Los Angeles this weekend to take part in the All-Star Game festivities, which will be held at the Intuit Dome on Sunday night. Brown was named an All-Star starter for the efforts so far this year, leading The Celtics will play far beyond expectations in the 2025-26 season.

On Saturday night, Brown hosted a panel in the Beverly Hills neighborhood, but things ended earlier than expected when the local police department showed up and shut down the event.

Brown then went to X, formerly Twitter, with a stern message for the cops.

“Beverly Hills is so trash I’m offended I had a great panel on the future of culture with great guests who worked hard for this how dare you,” he wrote.

“For a little more context, police came to shut down Jaylen Brown’s panel in Beverly Hills around 7 p.m., claiming he didn’t file the proper permit,” ClutchPoint’s Daniel Donabedian reported on X.

“I know I’m playing for the Celtics and I know we’re in LA. But hey, I didn’t think you’d treat me like this,” Brown said, via a video he posted on social media showing him interacting with police dispatched to the event.

Brown has long been known for his community work and willingness to speak out on certain issues, and he didn’t seem to appreciate that his event was closed early on the weekend.

On Sunday, the star will have the opportunity to fully show his talents in the NBA All-Star game. Fans have long complained about the lack of effort from the players in this event, so it will be interesting to see how intense the game will be this time around.

The big game is scheduled for Sunday at 17:00 ET from Los Angeles.
